Design Process

Wild Violets Landscape Design wants to get to know you and your needs. During our first appointment, we will walk  your property and discuss how you currently use and how you would like to use your outdoor spaces. At the end of this meeting, a design fee is quoted based on the size of your property and scope of your project. If you wish to proceed with the design, half of the design fee is required to begin.

When your design is complete, you will have a custom, drawn-to-scale bird's-eye plan of your landscape spaces, with all suggested plants and features. The design presentation meeting includes photo examples and conversation to help you conceptualize what your ideal landscape will look like. The remainder of the design fee is due at this time. If you're a Do-It-Yourselfer, you can take your plan and run with it!

What if I need more help?:
Along with your completed design, Wild Violets Landscape Design includes an estimate for plants, soil amendments, edging, mulch and other materials needed to create your project as drawn. We also can arrange delivery and placement of plants and supplies for you if you would like to install your project yourself. Additional on-site planting instruction and consulting is available on an hourly fee basis to help you feel confident in your installation work. We want you to feel proud of your accomplishment and enjoy your landscape for many years to come.

If you do not wish to install your landscape yourself, Wild Violets Landscape Design can install softscape projects including trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals and mulch. For hardscape installations such as retaining walls, paver patios and carpentry, we will provide referral to a qualified hardscape contractor.
